The Importance of Poker Seating

[ English ]

Texas Hold’em is simply about gamblers and seating. All experienced Holdem players concur that seating in no boundary Hold’em is critically important. Playing your hole cards in last position might be much more beneficial than in starting poker position. The reason because much more information is assembled before acting.

As an example, I was playing a $1-$2 no limit money game at a local spot. I limped in holding 2, 9 unsuited on the croupier marker, just to see a little excitement. Flop came down A-A-4. A gambler in early spot laid a $15 wager. Two individuals fold and it was now my turn. I really should have folded, but his game play appear to be a little off. I ID’d this person as a weak-tight player, and usually if he had the number one hand he would simply check, so I called.

The turn arrived with a 7, meaning it was a A-A-4-7. My challenger laid an additional bet of $20. I hesitated a little bit, but made a decision to re-raise another $30thirty dollars on top of his $20. He folds and I won the chips.

Gambling at late position gives you an idea where you sit by observing how other gamblers behave and wager. On the other hand, players at starting spot might use their poker spot to check-raise the late seated antagonists and corner them later at the end. In Holdem, each ends, last and early should be wagered carefully.
