No-Limit Hold’em Poker- Who is Phil Ivey?

Phil Ivey has been branded as the greatest poker player on the globe by most of the top-ranked pros. He was born in Riverside, CA and relocated to Jersey before reaching turning 1. His papa taught Phil one cent-ante 5-Card Stud poker. From then on on, Phil was addicted to poker and wished to discover everything he could about poker. Phil routinely would tell his parents that he wanted to be a professional poker player. He didn’t permit the adverse feedback from other people kill his goal of becoming one of the best poker competitors on the planet.

Phil began playing intently after getting a false ID by the name of Jerome. He practiced his techniques at the poker rooms of Atlantic City. The initial number of years for him were a learning opportunity and winning was not a common outcome at the time. He became known at the 2000 WSOP when he achieved 2 final tables and came away with his first World Series of Poker bracelet, in a $2, five hundred Pot-Limit Omaha event. At the closing table he defeated many of the well known pros including "Amarillo Slim" Preston, David "Devilfish" Ulliot, and Phil Hellmuth, Jr.

He decided to take his skills to the successive level and moved out west to Las Vegas. Phil continues to compete in in "The Big Game" at the Bellagio with the best players on the planet. Ivey credits his success to hard work and an undying passion for poker. He says that he is picking up skills every day and is very abashed about his success. He knows he makes blunders in each session of poker and constantly aspires to improve.

Although Phil has won some big tournaments, he prefers winning money games on a normal basis.
