Limit Hold’em Poker

[ English | Deutsch | Español | Français | Italiano ]

Limit holdem Poker is the most liked type of texas hold’em poker, attracting many novice poker players. The reason it’s so well-known is due to the fact that the wagering is not too aggressive. The stakes are not high due to the fact that the betting is limited, you can easily compete with little or no money.

If you are betting at a 50c/$1 Limit hold’em Poker game, the wagering will be constrained to values of 50 cents for the pre-flop and flop, and $1 for the Turn and River rounds.

In Limit poker casinos the strongest poker hand more often than not wins, because players are most likely to stay in the game and cause a showdown. If you were wagering in a No Limit Poker Room players are most likely to fold prior to the turn or river, than risk squandering a huge piece of their stack.

Bluffing in Limit games is not all that common, because it is not too expensive for your competitor to call if he/she thinks that you are attempting to bluff him.

If you are gambling at a lower-limit game and you are handed a strong hand you will need to try to maintain as many players in the hand as you can. Attempt checking if you’re one of the first to place a bet, this should trick most bettors into thinking your hand is weak.

The key is to lure as many wagers away from your opponents without revealing that you are in a strong position.

In low-limit poker rounds you should keep a lookout for pre-flop hands that are no less than 9s or higher pair, or 2 high rank unpaired cards.
